Cold splicing of conveyor belts
Joining and repair with room-temperature curing adhesives, no press needed, so the belt is back to work with a short stop.

Cold splicing is a process for joining the ends of conveyor belts with adhesives and tie rubber that cure at room temperature, without the need for a vulcanizing press.
The service includes preparing and stepping the ends, cleaning and buffing the surfaces, applying the adhesive and tie rubber, and assembling the splice according to the technical procedure, respecting the curing time specified by the material manufacturer.
Because it needs no heating equipment, cold splicing is recommended for repairs, hard-to-reach locations and situations where conveyor downtime must be short. It is also used to repair rips, cuts and worn covers.
The final quality of the splice depends on correct surface preparation, material compatibility and the technical qualification of the professionals doing the work.

Frequently asked questions
When should I use cold splicing instead of hot vulcanizing?
When the press cannot be brought to the site, when downtime must be short, or to repair rips and covers. For severe, high-tension applications, hot vulcanizing is usually the better choice. We assess each case.
Do I need to wait before starting the conveyor?
Yes. The adhesive needs the curing time specified by the manufacturer before the belt goes back to work. We state this time in the quote.
